About Ann

A fertility warrior, feminist and car karaoke queen, Ann Reddy is a mother of 2 beautiful children born through IVF (2) and donor egg conception (1). Her journey to a family took 13 separate procedures and 6 years of trying - all while working in a high pressure corporate job.

Ann is lucky enough to combine her passion of writing with purpose. She finds joy in igniting the minds of children and inspiring them to be their very best selves.

‘Our Village’ was written as a means to help her own daughter understand her journey into their family and a tribute to the village of medical professionals, friends and family that made it all possible.

Ann soon realised how powerful it would have been if she had a
book like this on her shelf growing up even as a naturally conceived child and her vision to change the world broadened a little more.

When Ann isn’t writing, working or spending time with family, she is on a quest to find the worlds best taco or dreaming of it by a beach somewhere.

About Ann

Meet the Illustrator

Phil began life as a very small child and is now something of a very big one.  As a commercial creative he’s had the fortune of writing and art directing award winning advertising campaigns for brands like Mentos, Optus, Qantas, Fairfax, and more. This work has resulted in an Olympic swimmer launching a philosophical pool cleaning business, a cow tinkling the ivories with udder dexterity, and a Home & Away star launching a fragrance (Raygrance) that nobody asked for, but everybody wanted.  His love of storytelling extends beyond selling wild ideas to clients, having worked on three consecutive Tropfest finalist films. One of which—a statement on marriage equality—has gone on to be recognised internationally. From the big screen to little pages, his love of storytelling led him to illustrating children’s books.
